Life with a 6 year old!

HAPPY BIRHTDAY AJ!!!
Well AJ turned 6 on the 14th. It is so hard to believe that we have a 6 year old son. What a shock! When he was born I knew he would grow up, but I couldn't imagine it. AJ had a great birthday. He received all kinds of things. He had asked for an art easel for his birthday so Aaron and I decided it would be a great idea. AJ has a very big creative imagination. He loves to draw and color. He also receive Disney's Dance Dance Revolution. This is great! He is really good at it and it is so funny to watch him get into it. AJ's other new obsession is with Lego's. He received many sets for his birthday and we have finished almost all of them.

AJ is doing very well in school he is excelling in math and reading. When AJ was 2 we had him in speech therapy, at the time it help immensely. We are having to do this again because he is missing some of his sounds (i.e. K and G) So he has been evaluated by the speech teacher at the school and because we are coming to the end of the school year we are filling all of the paperwork out now so that he will automatically be in therapy next year. I'm very impressed with his teacher and the therapist they truly seem to be on the ball and helping us get him ready for therapy for next year. He still loves going to school, when ever I talk to the mom's of the girls in his class they all tell me that their daughters just love AJ. They all worn me that we are going to have to watch out because all the girls are going to be calling our house. Haha. Even Eli's friend Schylar loves AJ ever time she sees him she has to run up and give him about 5 hugs. Schylar is 2.5 like Eli and AJ is so good with her, he hugs her back. Every once in awhile he will give me a look like um mom can you help me, but he is just so sweet with her. If you ask her who she loves she responds with "I love AJ".

On Thursday AJ will be starting soccer again he is looking forward to this new session, so are we. We had pulled him out for awhile because he was with the kids who were a year younger than him and he was the only one who had the concept of the game down. Now he is with the 6-7 year old kids and is in a competitive league. I'm attaching some photo's from his birthday party. Enjoy!
